Check in
At first, you might think that this whole procedure is totally complicated, but it really is a simple one. Saturday is the first day of your catamaran charter and that is the day you are expected to arrive at the marina.
You will be able to step on board of your catamaran at approx. 5 p.m. In case you are arriving earlier, please let us know in case there is a possibility to prepare your catamaran earlier. This depends on how much work a charter base has at that moment.
THE FIRST STEP TO A CLEAN AND SWIFT CHECK IN IS MAKING SURE YOU SUBMIT YOUR CREW LIST MINIMUM 7 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR CATAMARAN CHARTER!
For the check in procedure, you need to prepare your sailing license, VHF license, ID cards or passports of all of your crew member and of course you. You will also need to prepare your Boarding Voucher.
At this stage, you will be asked to pay a security deposit and this can be done by cash or credit cards.
During all of this, your skipper will have time to do a technical check in. Your skipper will make sure that the catamaran you have booked is in really tip top shape. This ensures your safety on your sailing trip.
Technical and safety briefing is the most important thing in the catamaran charter check-in procedure. The briefing lasts approx. 45 minutes and this will give you all the technical details of your catamaran and all the safety instructions you will be needing.
After the briefing, you will be able to come on board of your catamaran.
Check out
You have booked your catamaran from Saturday to Saturday but you will be expected to return to the marina on a Friday evening. The last night you will be able to spend on board the catamaran in the marina.
In case you are unable to return on Friday evening, you need to inform us about it. The reason for your later arrival should be a valid one. In this case, you will have to on Saturday latest 8 a.m. so your catamaran can be checked out and prepared for the next guests.
At this stage of check out, all the papers from the catamaran will be given to the marina staff and skipper and one member of the charter will go through the same check. If there are no damages to the catamaran and all the inventory is as it was at the check in, your security deposit is returned to you.
In case there are some damages to the catamaran or its inventory you will lose your security deposit. In case the damages are higher than your security deposit, you will have to pay extra.
After the whole procedure is finished you will be free to get back home.
